Griffin comes out with Evolve
Griffin is turning out to be a little Apple. The company has been churning out really cool looking items that make you want to buy them the moment you see them. They might have a little Jonathan Ive at their employ.
Anyway, one of Griffin’s cool looking gadgets will now be shipped to stores. The Evolve is an iPod dock/speaker set that is one of the best looking I’ve seen in years. As mentioned, it is both an iPod Dock and also a charging station for the two speakers. The cool thing about the Evolve is that after charging, the speakers can be detached from the, ehem, “mother unit” and it will crank up sounds from as far away as 100 feet, even through walls. Yes, my iPod faithful, these nifty speakers work wirelessly. How cool is that! A single charge of the speakers means ten hours of music goodness.
The Evolve really lives up to its name as an evolution of the basic iPod speaker/dock paradigm. Users can even buy additional speakers and use it with the same mother unit, allowing you to pepper your whole house with speakers if you are so inclined (or you have the funds).
The Griffin Evolve will be selling for $300 — and I’ve just added a new item on my Christmas list.
Vests bring new life to FPS games
First person shooter gamers try to immerse themselves into the game as much as possible in order to really feel that they are actual participants in the virtual space. The development of surround sound is a big help to gamers because it made the simulation of the artificial environment on the real environment quiet easy. One would hear what is happening in the 3D space on the real world and it really made gamers feel that they are that character that they are playing.
Now you can add the 3rsd Space FPS Vests from TN Games to your list of immersive accessories. This new gizmo was designed by an actual doctor and the is made to make you feel the impact of onscreen actions like punches, gunshots and other activities that are happening in the game that relate to your character.
The vest , which costs areound 189 dollars, comes equipped with eight pressure points that work to produce the sensations. It’s said that even the touch of another player will be felt by the player wearing the vest. I absolutey love this new gaming accessory!
I don’t know about you, but isn’t this going a little too far?
