Samsung Releases Audio Dock with Tube Amplifier Technology

January 4, 2012 by Rogue

The digitalization of music may have democratized music in large parts but in terms of quality, compressed music file formats like MP3s are far inferior to uncompressed files or even to analog media sources like LPs.

One of the ways to compensate for this inferiority is by encoding music files at a level that presents more aural quality. This is a great solution and once you’ve heard a file that has been encoded at a great bitrate you’ll never go back to low bitrate file. A great file is a good start but you’ll also need a really good audio hardware to take advantage of your MP3s. [Read more…]

$100 OFF on Logitech Ultimate Ears SuperFi 4 Noise Isolating Earphones

April 28, 2011 by Noemi

Ultimate Ears SuperFi 4 Noise Isolating Earphones
Get them while they’re on sale! Logitech is taking $100 off the regular price of the Ultimate Ears SuperFi 4 Noise Isolating Earphones, dropping the cost down to a mere $29.99! If you are particular about the sound that comes out of your earphones, then you know just how expensive good earphones can be. This sale is definitely something that you cannot afford to pass up on.

Logitech is one of the more trusted manufacturers out there, and while they may not always have the best products, they do make their customers happy. And just so you know, these earphones have not gotten 100% stellar reviews, but they are better than many other earphones out there – especially for the price that it is going for right now.  More so, I think that you ought to consider getting these earphones as a secondary pair – not for your everyday use.  The thing is, I have read a number of reviews which basically say that the earphones were great – until they broke.  So these earphones may not be able to withstand frequent and heavy use.  Other than that, you’ll be assured of blocking out noise from your surroundings and enjoying your favorite music.

Technical specs for the Ultimate Ears SuperFi 4 Noise Isolating Earphones:

  • Type: In-ear
  • Frequency response: 20 Hz-15 kHz
  • Impedance: 29 ohms, 1 kHz
  • Sensitivity: 105 dB SPL/mW, 1 kHz
  • Speaker type: Precision, balanced armature
  • Weight: 0.57 ounces (16.1 grams)
  • Noise isolation: 26 dB

A note of warning – these earphones are not compatible with the 3rd generation iPod shuffle so if you are thinking of getting these for that mp3 player, forget it.

So how do you get the earphones?  Visit LogicBuy and apply this coupon code: superfi4_42611. The deal is valid only till tomorrow, so you have approximately two days to take advantage of it.
