It looks as though a man gave up his chance to sell an Xbox 360 on eBay for a decent profit, as a story on The Greenville News reports a man gave over his Xbox to a frantic buyer and only said “Merry Christmas”.
How great is that? To try to do everything to get an Xbox 360 on opening day, and instead of being beat down, and refused, another gives up their opportunity to get one just so you could have one.
She was feeling almost as bad as her son was. She bought a pair of pants, but she would have given just about anything for a chance to buy an Xbox for her son.
And suddenly, there it was.
“I was waiting in line feeling like a terrible mother,” she said. “A guy walked up to me and said: ‘Here. Take mine. Merry Christmas.'”
She gladly paid the cashier $450 for the game, her son said.
They didn’t know the name of the man Simmons figures overheard him frantically telling his mother to hurry down to the store.
He disappeared as quickly as he appeared.
“It was really great,” Mrs. Simmons said. “I want to say to the man: ‘Thank you.'”
