CordCruncher Headphones

April 27, 2012 by Rogue

Kickstarter has become my favorite “gadget” website. Okay, it’s not really a site where you can technically buy gadgets. But I love reading about the new gadget proposals by enterprising individuals. Some of the things that have been presented there for funding are very “out of the box” and yet address real-world concerns. I bet you’ve visited that site and exclaimed to yourself, “yeah, I really need that!”

One Kickstarter project that is really intriguing and definitely answers a real need is the CordCruncher Headphones. If you have a digital media player or an iPod you’d know the big headache that tangled headphones or earphones cause. I’ve been meticulous about my earbuds and would try my best to roll and store them properly in my bag. But there are times when you have no choice but to just jam the thing inside your pocket or a compartment in your bag. This results in the buds’ wires getting all tangled up, which is a pain to untangle.

The proposed CordCruncher Headphones is unique and fixes the problem of tangled wires by enclosing the cords within a flexible and elastic cable. The flexibility of the new cord is amazing. It can be bended or folded so that it can fit and cling on to anything. You can turn it into a necklaces or a bracelet. The cord’s length can also be shortened depending on the requirements of the user – from 16 inches to 3.5 feet.

The CordCruncher Headphones has already met its project financing goal – actually getting 200 percent of the financial goal it set. The CordCruncher will become available by next month.
