iPhone production levels to be bumped 100 percent

September 19, 2007 by Rogue

iphone.gifIf success in the gadgets market can be measured solely on demand then it would  be safe to assume that Apple’s iPhone is a runaway smash. The demand for Apple‘s so called “jesus phone” is so great that ithe company has already laid down plans to increase the level of production of iPhones by one hundred per cent. The said plan seeks to produce 2.7 million iPhones just for the last quarter, which is significantly larger than the original 1.54 million target.  With the bump in the level of production, it is being seen that iPhones produced for this year will reach 4.8 million iPhones, which is markedly more than the 3.6 million initial target.

The iPhone is probably one of the fastest selling units of all time. I am thinking of getting one myself especially with the thought that it has already reached one million units sold way ahead of its schedule. Any way you look at it that is impressive.
