Tron was a smash when the original movie was shown in 1982. It was shown at a time when the digital era was in it infancy and computers were just becoming popular outside of the server and business environment. Tron brought with it a very unique visual style that it has really owned. Make any kind of similar design decisions and you’ll get “tron-like” descriptions.
