No one can argue that Bear Grylls is the quintessential alpha male. The guy has shown in his hit TV show Man Vs. Wild the various ways a man can survive when he left out to fend for himself in various inhospitable environments. It’s an entertaining show that gives you a great peek into survivalism and, of course, gives you an idea of what to do in case you get stranded in the middle of the Arctic Circle (well, it could happen).
I’m pretty sure we’ve all imagined being in Bear Grylls’ shoes. But if you really want to take that extra step and make sure that you’re ready in case you do meet a situation similar to what Bear showed in his shows then you should get the Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival Kit.
This nifty piece of kit was specifically put together by Bear Grylls for the Gerber Gear company. This kit basically contains everything you need in case you need to survive in any kind of environment. At least, that’s what Bear says, and who can really argue with him about this? The kit is quite small and can be easily stored in your car or home or in your luggage when you travel.
There are just too many things that have been put inside this small 10.8cm (W) x 15.5cm (D) x 2.6cm (H) pouch that it may look like a hardware list if I try to list all of it down here, but some of the more noteworthy things in the list include a serrated and fine edge knife, wire cutters, a bottle owner, various kinds of flat and Philips screwdrivers, a miniature light, a signaling mirror, firestarter, waterproof matches, tinder, snare wire, a lanyard whistle, fishing kit and survival blanket. The pouch itself has illustrated land to air rescue instructions.
This is one of those must have things you’ll definitely need, especially if you love the outdoors.
