I got the January issue of XBOX Official Xbox Magazine, and on the demo disc I was able to try out Full Auto. A game of vehicle destruction.
For me it was only one feature that made the game worth playing. Forget the destruction, you can have that in many games, though this game does it quite well. Forget the turbo boost, as almost all street racing games now include this feature in much the same way. Forget the cool looking cars, as almost every game involving cars as cool cars. The graphics are not up to par with Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the Xbox 360. So what makes it playable and enjoyable? The unwreck feature is what makes the game so much fun. Where in other games once you make a mistake it is done, and you have to move on, with Full Auto, you can go back a second to almost a minute and undo a mistake that might have destroyed your car, or lead you to miss a key shot you could have had on an enemies vehicle. To gain the ability you must run a rampage through the city destroying things to earn unwreck time so that you can go back in a slow motion reverse much like rewinding a film.
I think this is a fun game to play, and wish I had more than just the demo to mess with. The game will be hitting stores, February 14th.
