Metal Gear Solid was of my favorite games when I got hooked on the original PlayStation. I remember spending days playing the game over and over again (even to the point of missing sleep, classes and meals). There’s something about the gameplay and the storyline that interested me. Most of all, MGS was where I actually first heard about the Human Genome Project (talk about living under a rock, huh?).
MGS is on its fourth version, and set for release for the PlayStation 3’s debut in November. The creators have disclosed that the game will feature real-world people, who–hopefully–will be rendered faithfully.
At the Tokyo Game Show Hideo Kojima has announced that he plans to include people from the real world in the forthcoming PlayStation3 title, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It is a big change for the series but Kojima-san has refused to reveal any more details on his decision beyond demonstrating how the Japanese actress, Yumi Kikuchi, has been faithfully rendered to be included in the game.
There’s still no information on which particular people will be included, but I’m expecting to see some celebrities and possibly some prominent political figures. Here’s your chance to have your favorite (or not so favorite) celebs in your own little world under your control.
