I found out a while ago that Best Buy would be getting a minimum of 10 units per store on Friday December 9th, so I made it my mission to get one of those units.
I decided that the best way to make it to Best Buy bright and early to have a chance at getting an Xbox 360 was to stay up all night and leave early in the morning. At 4:50 am I left my apartment to take the bus to Best Buy. The trip would take an hour, getting me there at 6:03 am. When I left it was still pitch black out, since it was winter the sun would not be up for atleast another two hours.
As I walked twenty minutes to the bus stop, I already began to feel rather cold as the temperature was around ten below zero, and as much as I dressed for the weather, my feet were still cold, as was my face.
I decided to bring a pen and paper to be able to write everything that happens as it happens but unfortunetly it is too cold and the ink does not flow from the pen at all, so my memory of everything will have to suffice.
By the time the bus comes to pick me up to bring me, I feel as though I might be too late by the time I get there. If only I had a car, I could go even earlier. Some might think I am ridiculous going out and doing this, but I do it for my readers. Two weeks after launch, and I am leaving before 5 am to have a chance at an Xbox 360.
Once the bus dropped me off, I noticed in the distance there were already many people in line. Talking to a few of them I found out some had been there since 3 am. The rumour was that there would be twenty-eight Premium consoles waiting for us inside. I was the 16th person in line, so I felt very secure in my position, though I was freezing. If it turned out that there were ten of fifteen units, I would be out of luck.
