Everywhere you turn there are more and more advertisements, and games are not going to get away from that either as THQ has joined a small list of publishers looking at increasing their revenue from allowing companies to pay for in-game advertising.
“Dynamic, in-game advertising not only offers publishers new revenue opportunities, but when done properly creates added realism that can actually enhance game play,” said Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing, THQ.
We will see how well they are able to keep control over this beast, as we find ourselves stealing a car in Grand Theft Auto that is a Honda Civic and end up getting a charge on our credit card for it.
