It looks like not all patches are friendly fixes, as one of the changes for The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II has created some anger from its players.
Previously, when you got disconnected from a multiplayer game you did not get a loss attributed to your stats resulting in many players disconnecting when they were losing to stop any negative effects on their stats. EA now gives the loss to the player with the higher disconnect percentage.
So even if you are winning and the other person disconnects, you may be given the loss if you have a bad internet connection that leads to dropped games.
The other “fixes” listed include:
- Corrected issue with friends on buddy lists appearing invisible in the lobby
- Fixed a crash associated with Wormtongues spell abilities
- Addressed technical issues associated with memory
