Joystiq calls for Horizontal Gaming

November 28, 2005 by David

I know the title sounds a bit odd, but over at Joystiq they are asking people to put their Xbox 360’s horizontal rather than the much cooler looking vertical that many people are currently doing because it is not safe as the Xbox can easily tip over causing massive damage to the disk inside.

Have a look at the picture below to really understand the situation, then tip your Xbox 360 on its side carefully and resume gaming.

Scratch of Death

The photo above demonstrates $60 good reasons to orient your Xbox 360 horizontally. If you orient it vertically, a clumsy roommate, sibling, or pet might knock the thing over, and you’ll be left with a DVD that looks like the one pictured here: all scratched up and unplayable.
