Interesting thought over at Joystiq. It is winter in Canada, and getting colder by the day. I could not imagine being one of those that camp out for the Xbox 360’s release just to make sure I can pick one up on release day, but some people might.
For the uninitiated, console camping is when a gamer becomes so enthusiastic with the idea of a new hardware purchase that they are willing to wait in line, late at night, to be one of the first to pick up a shiny new box. Not as bad as Star Wars lines, but arguably a close second.
If I was going to camp out, I would hope to have something to play videos of Xbox 360 games to continue to inspire me in my quest to get the console because I am pretty sure I would be freezing and just give up and go home if it got too cold.
