An article on Joystiq says that we can expect the Xbox 360 to stay on top for 2006 as they will most likely sell around four million units by the end of the year compared to the PS3 and Revolution only getting one million sales each.
He also goes as far to say that the Xbox 360 will still edge out on top for 2007 with 10 million units sold compared to PS3’s 7 million units. Starting in 2008, all bets are off, as the analyst predicts that by 2010 there will be 52 million next-gen units sold from the three major developers.
I for one am very interested to see how the market goes once all three consoles are released, and I think that analysts, are sometimes wrong, but I hope this time they are right as I own an Xbox 360, and the better it does, the more developers and online content they will put up.
