If you have spare time and want to turn that into extra money, there’s no time like the present to get started! All you have to do is make sure that you’re qualified for certain possible income streams, that you have access to the required materials to do other activities, and that your new financial functions fit in along with your old ones, and pretty soon you’ll be swimming in that extra dough!
Five ways to convert your time and energy into cash include being a driver, creating a website, promoting your marketable skills, writing a book, and/or selling your old stuff. Each of these methods pretty much guarantees some income, but how much will depend on how well your organize yourself.
Being a Driver
If you have a good-quality car, you can turn your extra time into money by working for Uber, Lyft, or any other ride sharing company that happens to be popping up in your area. Other than a decent form of safe transportation and a license, all you have to have is an app on your phone that indicates when and where work is available.
Creating a Website
There are several different ways to make money by creating a website. For one thing, you can make money through Google’s advertising program. For another, you could sell something via the site. There’s also affiliate advertising, or selling promotional space. Plus, after you’ve finished designing and publishing your first site, you can sell your services as a website designer! Depending on how much energy you put into it, you can potentially get a lot of cash back out from your spare time spent on it.
Promoting Your Marketable Skills
As a human being, you have skill sets. You can cook. Or you’re good at math. Or you know how to sing or play the guitar. A simple way to make money is by finding out what skills you have that are marketable, and then promote yourself online! It could be as simple as putting out a post on Facebook that you’re willing to tutor high school students in science or writing, but it can quickly turn into cash in your pocket.
Writing a Book
If you, today, started writing your autobiography in your spare time, eventually it would be completed. And then, you could just put it up in digital form and see who’s curious about your life and times, and make some extra change in the process.
Selling Your Old Stuff
And finally, if you have any old (but potentially valuable) items that you don’t use anymore, throw those suckers on eBay! You can spend 10 minutes taking some pictures and writing a description, and any person on the Internet could potentially want to take it off of your hands in exchange for some money.
