Game achievements or trophies are a big part of video gaming. Introduced first in the game Halo 2, the concept of earning achievements or trophies has caught on in a big way that it has been implemented not just in PC games or console-based games but even in games that you can find in social media sites or on your smartphones or tablets.
But achievements are nothing new. Before we even achieved an achievement or trophy for fragging X number of enemies on an FPS, the military has been doing it already. The US army, in particular, has implemented a series of achievements for reaching certain milestones in their training to become soldiers… and their achievements are way cooler because it actually means something.
