Pocket-lint, one of my favorite new sources has a review up on the Xbox 360. They have had it up since the 25th, but as I am not a member of their elite, I had to wait to be able to access it.
I have read it over and found it to be very fair, and love some of their words of wisdom in the review.
Although on the surface you might be tempted with the cheaper offering. Don’t. If you’re hoping to get the most out of the console the additional hard drive is worth the extra cash up front. Additionally, while Microsoft promises backwards compatibility with over 200 titles such as Halo, you will need the hard drive to play them. This is because rather than include the hardware from the original console, Microsoft has emulated it with software.
(The power pack) Roughly the size of a bottle of Coke it’s a mean looking beast that you’ll be glad to hide it away as soon as you get the chance.
In the end they give the console a striking 9/10, and though they look forward to seeing what other companies bring to the table, Microsoft got a thumbs up in what they created.
