The iPhone 3g has emerged as the most popular and sought after phone in the USA, this from the market research group NPD.  Launched just this July (merely 90-days so far), it has surpassed Motorola’s Razr.  Razr had a winning streak for a straight 12-quarters prior to the unseating.  Ranking a close third is the RIM Blackberry Curve, fourth is by LG Rumor and LG enV2 came in fifth.

Here in the US you’d see a lot of envious eyes looking your way when you flash out your iPhone 3g.  The first gen iPhone was already popular, but the iPhone 3G raked in all the attention with all the 3rd party aps and games rolling in to boost its popularity even more.

Every phone ap engineer are setting their eyes on cashing in on the Christmas season.  At Bestbuy last night there was even a special “invite-only” event about iPhone and its many aps.  I personally had my fair share of the “fan crowd”.  The lines at Bestbuy.com is getting longer by the days nearing Christmas.
