A cool list from Racketboy.com which talks about 'Classic Franchises That Actually NEED a Resurrection'... They include: Darkstalkers Shining Force Battletoads Strider Killer Instinct Vectorman Starcraft System Shock Road Rash PowerStone I would love to see a new Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Starcraft and System Shock game. Those alone would make me break out my wallet, and at $50 a piece, that is $200 right there. via Joystiq

Engadget comes back with their second part to making an iPod dock where the Xbox 360 hard drive used to go. There are many ways this project could be modified. We took an approach that would let us return the box almost to stock condition if needed, but a more permanent mod could be soldering the hard drive connection on the inside of the case instead of using the external connector. With the outside connector gone you could route the dock's USB cable inside the case. We still need to cut down our three foot dock cable since it only has to be three inches long to reach the port on the back of the box. Read the article.

Tetris would probably be the one game that got most of us addicted to gaming. Count me as one of the people who spent hours playing Tetris, cursing silently under my breath as I painfully waited for that one brick that can get rid of the five lines I've already accumulated. Since this game is one of the most iconic games of all time, it's no surprise that there are imitators abound. But thanks to The Tetris Company, LLC (the company that apparently holds the rights to the game) 35 clones of the game have been pulled out of the Android Market. Okay, I understand that they are just trying to protect ...

Now one major factor I'm looking for when shopping for a mouse would be ergonomics. This is probably a no-brainer to you guys. We all don't want to end up eventually with RSI or Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Mice that are shaped in a way that will hurt in the long run tends to be shunned, for good measure. So how come I want Boss's DS-1 distortion pedal mouse so badly? I mean, just look at it. Grab a huge rectangular box (or if you have a guitar pedal lying around), and just use it like it's an actual mouse. It's a pain, isn't it? And judging from the fact that the DS-1 ...

So over at the recently-concluded Google I/O conference, Google unveiled Android 2.2, or Froyo, to the world. Now with people eagerly waiting for iPhone OS 4.0, Android 2.2 amazingly showed that Google can beat Apple, and if Google manages to get the products they announced out (oh my lord I want me some Google TV), there is a huge possibility that Apple may play catch-up soon. Okay, so Android 2.2, called Froyo, is out. What makes it stand out? What features are going to make people dump their iPhones and go for Android handsets? Here are the top new features of Google's smartphone operating system, taken from ZDNet: - Improved security with ...

Confession time: I'm never really much of a PSP guy. I know, there's that vast library of top-notch games to consider, and the fact that six years on, the PSP still is the gadget to beat when it comes to portable gaming. Although, personally, I'm stupid enough to go for the iPod touch just for the handheld version of Street Fighter IV. Waiting - very impatiently, I might add - for the 4th generation to come out this September. But if there are any truth to these rumors about the PSP2, I just might change my mind about the gaming console. According to VG247, PSP2 is going to have a touchscreen, two ...

Now if you'd like your old first generation iPod touch to be a bit more... open, wait a little while and you can run Google's Android operating system on it. Now the person who ported Android for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G is now working to bring Android OS to the first generation iPod touch. Obviously, you can't make calls on it, but then this is an exciting project if you'd like to run an operating system other than iPod OS on your iPod touch. It's not quite ready for primetime though. From the developer's blog: Meanwhile, I am working on some stuff that is slightly more fun. Last night, I brought ...

If you're planning to buy the Nexus One from Google's online store so you can get it contract-free, you well, you better act fast. Google will soon stop selling their flagship Android phone online. Don't think for a moment that this move means that Google is going to drop the Nexus One. This is merely a change in strategy. It seems that Google has realized that people don't like to buy phones without seeing them first, so they're switching strategies and are selling the Nexus One via retail outlets. From Google's official blog, the changes to Nexus One's availability are: More retail availability. As we make Nexus One available in more countries ...

Oooh boy, Apple's legendary secrecy standards seem to be a little bit lax lately. You'd think they'd tighten up security after Gizmodo's now-legendary iPhone leak, which resulted in a collective gasp heard round the web, along with the obligatory lawsuits and raids. you'd think Apple would take precautions to keep this from happening again. Apparently, another iPhone has been leaked and is being scrutinized by the Vietnamese blog Taoviet. And yes, you got it right: Vietnam. How the next generation iPhone landed in the hands of those guys is beyond me. Well, except for the fact that they allegedly paid $4,000 for it. This iPhone seems to be a similar model from the ...

The new iPhone has been leaked

So, the lucky guys at Gizmodo were able to get their hands on an iPhone 4. There’s a bit of a story behind their acquisition. Apparently, Apple has been testing the new iPhone in the wild already, and one of Apple’s employees have, well, misplaced one. A lucky soul found the iPhone in a bar [...]
