GadzookiFerrari vs Lamborghini ?
Posted by Ben as NotebooksNot the cars, the computers?

Acer has teamed up with Ferrari and released the aptly named Acer Ferrari series (the 4000 in picture), which features a carbon fiber cover with the prancing horse in the middle. The specs of the 4000 are:
Windows XP
Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-34 1.8GHz
1024MB RAM
100GB HDD
ATI Mobility Radeon X700
Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW

In response, Asus and Lamborghini have also announced a new line of notebooks, not yet named and not yet available (to ship in April), the only thing I can offer you is a picture of the shell, and boy does it look nice.

I’ve had 3G on my Nokia N95 enabled since I got it – which is about a month or two ago now. I was thus surprised to learn that the iPhone didn’t include this much faster way to connect to the Internet. Consequently, I wasn’t exactly surprised when Steve Jobs big announcement turned [...]

19|Jan|2006I saw this bad boy at the CES two weeks ago, and I am here to tell you - it was pretty awesome.
Not only was the aesthetic wicked cool (I mean, you’ve got a FERRARI laptop, for god’s sake), but the features were fairly eye-popping. I was happy to see it run at a native resolution of 1400×1050, and the keyboard, if I remember correctly, is ultra-sleek and slightly contoured (a-la the old Microsoft Natural keyboards…don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t have that stupid hump in it or a big break in the keys).
Unfortunately, the Ferrari laptop was seated next to the biggest, baddest laptop that Alienware makes, so I kind of got googly-eyed over that one instead of enjoying the Ferrari like I should have. The Alienware laptop gets a 0 out of 10 on portability, while the Ferrari gets about a 6 - not bad for a killer machine. Bottom line - I’d be THRILLED to have that laptop.

20|Jan|2006its sort of similar to a Ferrari in itself, it looks sexy, performs well, costs too much, and attracts attention.
