The nip that you feel in the air is a sure sign that Christmas is just around the corner. Of course, Christmas means many different things to people. Some see it as a time to receive gifts, other see it as that inevitable time when one has to empty one’s pockets. the more optimistic set though see Christmas as a time to get what they want without any guilt. I’m still eyeing a Nintendo Wii and an LCD TV (are you listening, Santa?). But for those who are addicted to mobile phones (come on, you know who you are), Nokia has an early Christmas gift. The company announced that it will be slashing the price of its best selling E65 phone model. Nokia has said though that the price cut is normal for a phone product that has been available in the market for more than six months.
Other models that will also have price adjustments include the E61i, N73, and N73 Music Edition. But the price cut is not as big as the one for the E65.
Nokia’s very competitive pricing strategy this year has benefited the company a lot. The company’s enterprise unit finally went into the black after a sluggish performance because of the pricing scheme.
I hope the price cut will be effective immediately. I’ve been eyeing n E61i and this may make my plans to acquire one so much more feasible.
