sony-BDV-E800W-blu-ray-home-cinema-system

Sony has today announced seven new Blu-ray based home cinema packages. These are “all-in-one” solutions designed to satisfy consumers who don’t want to get involved with the complexities of matching and installing individual components, with the packages ranging in features and power to suit most budgets and requirements.

The BDV-E300 and BDV-E800W (pictured) systems offer a kicking S-Master digital amplifier with 1000W of power, Blu-ray disc player with all the features you’d expect (24p, x.v.Color, upscaling) a range of HD audio decoders and auto setup.

The BDV-E300 comes with five compact satellite speakers and a subwoofer, while the BDV-E800W has four floor standing main speakers, wireless rear speakers and subwoofer.

For those who want the same feature set but not all the kit, the BDV-Z7 is a 350W 2.1-channel system which uses Sony’s S-Force Front Surround technology for virtual 5.1-channel sound.

Sony also introduces four other home cinema systems which have the advanced BDP-S360 Blu-ray player built in.

The BDV-360FS is a 400W 2.1-channel system. The BDV-360IS comes with five golf ball-sized speakers, the HTP-BD36SS pumps out 1000W of power from compact satellite speakers, while the HTP-BD36SF uses floor standing speakers instead.

Exact pricing and availability is still unknown.
