I just went to PowerMac Center, a local reseller for all things Apple and their accessories essentials. One of the things that I saw there was a silicon cover for the MacBook keyboard. There was this day when I went all obsessive-compulsive with my Mac’s keyboard, because the gaps, or what should be more appropriately named “dust wells” have gathered dust bunnies and other gunk that have made me brush those gaps over and over again that day, after wiping the dust stains with alcohol.

Every few seconds I had to just take the brush and brush the dust out. True, this was highly unnecessary, but the obsessive-compulsive in me just had to do that. Eventually I resolved to had this cleaned when I will have Sayuri the Macbook’s lining fixed.

So when I saw the display MacBook at PowerMac with the silicon keyboard cover, I decided to test typing on it. Sadly, it was the most uncomfortable experience on earth. And so I stick to my motto that I would rather have a dirty and battered gadget than cover it with any sort of protective thing. I have always been allergic to those cover things, and I guess I always will.

On another note. I just have this observation that while before, I really didn’t like laptops, today, you can’t pry me away from a laptop store whenever I go to malls. They are such beautiful machines to me now, that it’s hard to imagine that not so long ago, I was averse to laptops. Thanks to Sayuri the MacBook, I am officially a laptop freak. :)

But it was also because of her that I realized that I wanted an ultraportable more. Because Sayuri is a little over 5 lbs. and bringing her around the metro is pure abuse to my back, I realized that I could use a lighter laptop.

But as my last list indicates, this love affair with computers, in all shapes and size, will never end, I suppose. :p

Happy Birthday, Thessa! ;)

I’ve had 3G on my Nokia N95 enabled since I got it – which is about a month or two ago now. I was thus surprised to learn that the iPhone didn’t include this much faster way to connect to the Internet. Consequently, I wasn’t exactly surprised when Steve Jobs big announcement turned [...]
