What’s more, as an additional level of redundancy – it will keep two copies of the file and then apply 128-bit AES data encryption. This is done even before the file is uploaded to the cloud to ensure that even if files intercepted no one can open it.

One cool thing about the LaCie Cloudbox is that it doesn’t need your PC to be open to perform its functions. It does all of it from the unit itself. It will keep its connection with the cloud even after the files are uploaded.
