Posted by David as Gadzooki NewsMicrosoft is the Premier Sponsor of the World Cyber Games this year, and probably because of that, some Xbox 360 titles have been added to the competition including Project Gotham Racing 3, and Dead or Alive 4.
For PC gamers there are some great titles as well including: Counter-Strike 1.6, Warcraft III: Frozen Throne, FIFA 06, Starcraft: Brood War, Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Warhammer 40,000: Winter Assault.
For the USA only, there are some other competitions available on the Xbox and Xbox 360 including: Madden NFL 06, Major League Baseball 2K6, Halo 2, and Geometry Wars.
If you make it through the first rounds, you are invited to participate in the regionals in June, July and August. If you continue to rise to the top in the regionals, you get sent to the US National Finals in September. The winners at the National Finals will form Team USA and are sent to the WCG Grand Finals in Monza, Italy from October 18th to the 22nd.
If you are looking to compete, either professionally or not, you can sign up starting April 28th, at us.worldcybergames.com.
