Halo 3 in Spring 2007 Rumor

It looks like IGN has details on Halo 3, and it will be missing this years holiday season, and waiting until after the launch of the PS3, and coming out in March of 2007.

While this does not seem like a good marketing tactic to me, I can understand if Bungie need more time to perfect the game, as there are high expectations on this next Halo title, and both Microsoft and Bungie know it.

By theoretically shifting Halo to next spring, Microsoft thus allows third-party companies a better chance to shine independently of Bungie’s uber shooter during the fall 2006 season. One must wonder, however, why the game wouldn’t come out simultaneously with the movie, due in summer 2007. But if Halo 3′s alleged March release date is officially confirmed, perhaps the game will leave questions for the movie to answer.

I really don’t care when it comes out, but it better be good.
