GadzookiNike and Apple have announced a partnership made in gadget heaven. What you’ll have is basically a wireless communication system between your shoes and your iPod. So you can groove out to the tunes, and quantify your exercise at the same time. Pretty cool huh?

The Nike+ iPod Sports Kit will work with the iPod Nano and provide information either visually on the screen or audibly through the earphone buds. The kit will only cost $29 which seems like a great deal to us. Runners and walkers will be able to see a slew of interesting information about their workout, from calories burned, to distance traveled.
After working out, you can transfer your workout data from your iPod to your computer for future reference. Nike has even set up a website, NikePlus.com to help analyze your workout data.
Both companies have plans to develop on the Nike+iPod concept. Nike plans to introduce a new line of clothing and sportwear while there is speculation that Apple plans to expand the usage of its sensor device to a variety of other applications.
