The Scan Toaster

Posted by Jim as Cool Stuff

A finalist in a design competition run by the appliance manufacturer Electrolux has made a lot of heads turn with a beaming smile.  Imagine a “scanner” that can print out any graphic or text onto a slice of bread!  Oh, you can see with the pic above how this will sell great with advertisers huh?

The “Scan Toaster” was developed by industrial designer Sung Bae Chang.  A PC and with a USB cable will most likely be a permanent fixture in tomorrow’s cafes… worldwide.

You must be looking for the “where to buy” button, eh?  This baby is still in it’s design stage, we might see it into production if we can get a lot of heads talking about it.

This would work well for major hotels or restaurants to sell advertising space. Not sure anyone would individually want it for home.
