This is probably one of the coolest iPod dock from the iHome camp. The iHome Studio Series iP1 has definitely landed this terrific design by using transparent pane of lucite as it’s front panel. There has been much hype about this model for the past months, we sure are happy that it’s finally coming about by July with an initial price of US$300.

We like the slick industrial design feel of the iP1 dock, that’s for sure. This will spark up the office, or the den… the bedroom (?), definitely. We do not have any reviews regarding performance and sound quality, from what we heard about specs… they’d be good. Well.. except that the usual radio and clock, gone.

” the iP1 uses a “100 watt class D biamplified architecture with Bongiovi sound processing through twin 4-inch woofers and matched 1-inch dome tweeters.” It’s also got GSM shielding for iPhone use and a video-out port for watching iPod/iPhone video on a TV.”
