The MacBook
The MacBook: Sleek and simple with Intel inside

Apple has just released the Intel Core Duo Powered MacBook running up to 2Ghz and priced competitive to many PC based notebook laptops. Specked out, the Macbook can have an 80G hard drive, a DVD-burner, up to 2GB of RAM, Bluetooth, wireless G ready, and (who would have thought), you can even get your MacBook in black.

So Apple has decided to dive feet first into the world of Intel, further blurring the lines between Macs and PCs. The thing is, I think that Apple can pull this trick off. More than any of the big PC makers, Apple knows how to design and market their product, and with an attractive price point the MacBook is destined to succeed.

Sony has made it tradition to announce similar gadgets to Apple’s on the same day, or a few days after. And with the Macbook being released today, Sony stayed faithful to it’s tradition and introduced today their new flagship model with a Blu-Ray Burner, which I think will be the first ever seen (on a laptop).
