GadzookiSilex Combo-Mini
Posted by Ben as Computer Peripherals
The Silex Combo-Mini is a small USB device, measuring 2.2ā? x 1.5ā? x 0.5ā?, which allows users to protect computers and their files. In order to gain access, the user must first scan their finger on the dongle, which then compares that fingerprint with the one encrypted onto the user identity module [UIM] stored in the scanner.
Three protection options are available with the Combo-Mini suite:
i. SX-PASS: protects any resource that requires a secure login (ie. Internet banking)
ii. SX-LOGIN: is used in place of, or in conjunction with, Windows password authentication for logon
iii. SX-LOCK: locks access to specific files or folders
