toshiba-journe-touch

Toshiba has announced an interesting little portable multimedia device, which looks much like digital photo frame but in fact can do a great deal more.

The Journe Touch, featuring a seven-inch touchscreen, is totally portable so it can be used around the house to listen to music, watch videos, connect up to a high definition TV via HDMI, and access a range of web sites.

It runs on Windows CE 6.0 Pro, a popular choice that's built-in to a range of consumer electronics devices, and can connect to a Wi-Fi network.

0623_tiger-thoughbook_170x170Why would anyone require his laptop to be able to withstand a tiger attack? Well, maybe if you’re some dude on TV who purposely goes after animals in the wild, then you would need something that tough. Anyway, even if you don’t exactly interact with ferocious animals on a regular basis, you might want to check out Panasonic’s Toughbook. Forbes recently ran their own test on this laptop and they had a lot to say about it – most of it praises. These are some of what they did: We used the Panasonic Toughbook to serve Doritos. Then we crushed the chips to dust between the keyboard and the ...

Driinn is one product that certainly is a must-have.  I easily had the "aha!" moment.  I said "yeah, I've been putting my phone, ipod, and other gizmos on top of anything... while charging".  Now look at that (!)  a cool cradel to keep the cords neat while the gizmos are feeding on the power juice. Here's the marketing blurb... "Drinn is a handy, easy to use product for anyone with a mobile phone, an MP3 player or a PDA device.  It's made of a special mix of plastic and rubber, giving the product gives the holder strength and grip.  It hangs between your batter charger and the wal socket.  Check it out below.  Made in Italy!...

Have you ever been in love? I have. And the moment I stepped out of that room, I felt so giddy, and there was a silly grin on my face, and all I could blabber was, “Have you ever been in love?” I walked through the streets in a daze, and I knew that I was virtually afloat, because I know have found my match.

Somehow I keep picturing Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise or Nicolas Cage. It may as well work if Pro-Idee, the "RoadRunner" manufacturer, will fashion it well to look good in a bow & tie set... I know what you're thinking, yes, James Bond will look good on this too. It may seem "too loud" at this early stage, but give it a few more months and you'd see several variations from this model.  The key I believe is to make technology as "invisible" (tech term "user-transparent") as possible.  But this is a good start nonetheless. I’m no hard-core techie so I couldn’t understand how “non-creepy” this may be.  I’ve seen too many movies before where one of the ...

I've been subscribing to podcasts for the past 6 months and to tell you frankly, they have become part of my daily to do's.  I used to follow cable TV schedules so I can watch specific segments of CNN and BBC news, but now, I just hit the refresh button on iTunes and watch them when I want to.  It has been very easy to follow what's happening with the rest of the world thru podcasts, like those from CNN's "Anderson Cooper's 360" and "In case you missed it". I think I have about 30+ podcast subscriptions I download on my Dell Inspiron 8600 (yes I still have a Dell Inspiron 8600, but that's another story!).  Varied podcasts from Larry King ...

I was strolling down a mall, window-shopping one lazy Sunday afternoon, when I noticed an unusual crowd of uniformed high-school students flocking into the Sony Phone shop.  Shaking my head, I said, "It's just a bunch of kids testing out a tired model".  I was right. These kids were getting excited with the Sony Ericson W910 and the Sony Ericson W960.  One of the first models to introduce the "shake mode" or as they call it "flick-of-the-wrist control".  Go to this mode and you can skip and shuffle around  your music collection by doing just that.  Also works with a few games! Not sure how successful it is on the rack, but a noble idea nonetheless if it was creating that mall ...

Three days straight of nothing but phones. After drooling on those luxury phones yesterday, I might as well drool over some more phones. But this time, I want something I can actually target to buy for myself. Something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to buy, and if some pickpocket thinks to pick it out of my pocket, I won’t need to cry for all the hard work I put in just to buy it. The Nokia 3500 was something I actually considered, because it packed all those features in under $200. A phone with features like those used to cost more than $200, and I think it’s really a good buy.

It seriously had me at the gold detail. I told you, I’m no longer on my cellphone obsession, but as I was looking for Nokia 3500 pictures, I bumped into this beauty. And seriously, if I were Beyoncé, I would have wanted to represent the Armani phone instead of the F300, though admittedly, the F300 is also pretty sexy. I guess the luxurious gold set in black was what got me drooling for this Armani phone.

Great phone, Great price. ;)

Posted by DummyGeekGurl as Cellphones, Mobility
I am so not into cellular phones lately, but I had come across this phone up on Multiply.com. I just thought you’d like to know that this relatively affordable phone has pretty kick-butt features for its price. I searched for it on Google Products, and the first page results yielded a range from $174.49 at the lowest and $229 at the [believably] highest. There was a result from Detek.biz that seemed fishy because it was way out of the results’ price range at $888, so I ignored it. For a phone that has: 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, video camera Java MIDP 2.0 MP3/MP4/AAC/AAC+ player Stereo FM radio Bluetooth HSCSD GPRS At that price, and with the funky black and colored trim design, ...
