I've been subscribing to podcasts for the past 6 months and to tell you frankly, they have become part of my daily to do's.  I used to follow cable TV schedules so I can watch specific segments of CNN and BBC news, but now, I just hit the refresh button on iTunes and watch them when I want to.  It has been very easy to follow what's happening with the rest of the world thru podcasts, like those from CNN's "Anderson Cooper's 360" and "In case you missed it". I think I have about 30+ podcast subscriptions I download on my Dell Inspiron 8600 (yes I still have a Dell Inspiron 8600, but that's another story!).  Varied podcasts from Larry King ...

A tale of two worlds: The guy who woke up, opened the Apple website (a cult member no less): "I knew it!  I knew it!  It was worth the wait. (motions to do the macarena geeky dance).  Where's my plastic?  Oh there you are!  Come here you... come here you... aahhhh.... let's go to the apple store you and I. (winks at his card, and hippity-hops out the door).  From a distance, he shouts 'I LOVE YOU STEVE JOBS!' ".Now the guy who woke up, opened the Apple website (a high ranking cult member, an early adopter definitely):"Noooooooo!!!  Why did you do it!  I trusted you... (and in an eeny meeny voice) I loved you! (squeeky whimper). Whyyyyy!!! Back to reality:News news news. ...

Griffin is turning out to be a little Apple. The company has been churning out really cool looking items that make you want to buy them the moment you see them. They might have a little Jonathan Ive at their employ. Anyway, one of Griffin's cool looking gadgets will now be shipped to stores. The Evolve is an iPod dock/speaker set that is one of the best looking I've seen in years. As mentioned, it is both an iPod Dock and also a charging station for the two speakers. The cool thing about the Evolve is that after charging, the speakers can be detached from the, ehem, "mother unit" and it will crank up sounds from ...

(My apologies for the title; I did not want to upset anybody with yet another iPhone article, or so some might think if I used the iPhone word) Now that the immaculate phone of multiple facets is finally out the door, we can finally start looking into the next generation of iPods, like any true Apple fanboy. Apple is a company with the most extreme of marketing strategies and generally play its cards close to the chest. And while they never had a history of making product announcements until they are made available on that same day, last Friday's events will certainly go down as the release date for another product that's been pre-announced (oh, how times have changed) - and ...

It seems the most unlikely products want to be iPod-compatible. That's how powerful the Apple iPod brand has become: it's now a selling point for companies wanting a little boost in their sales. Here are just some of the examples of products that have made it a point to please the MP3 player giant: Pause: iPod-Compatible Bed The Pause by Design Mobel is the world's first bed that lets you play your iPod with it. They also call it the "world's most comfortable iPod Dock". Pause: iPod-Compatible Bed Photo from DesignMobel.co.nz See also: Lomme, another iPod-friendly bed with a futuristic feel.

This is a question that comes up in a variety of situations - from the novice computer user to the PC salesman. Storage and use; these are the two drivers behind any user space requirement. In my old laptop I had a 30 gig hard drive. Today, there are multimedia players featuring double that. My new laptop has 100 gig, two-thirds more. The space is good, and my needs on the base system (and hard drive) have actually lessened due to purchasing a 200 gig external drive. This, coupled with my laptop and Xbox 360 form not only a lot of tech but a decent home entertainment hub. Lets do a quick audit of drives here: Laptop: 100 ...

Whether or not you have the latest ipod, a 3rd gen or a nano, you're sure to find a case to match your personality, or for fashionistas, every outfit. And if you pay a visit to your local gym, you'll also find a whole range of cases out there which fit snugly in whatever body part you choose, in a multitude of colours and designs. So for the sake of fun, here's an iPod case to match each personality: 1. The Cutiepie Ok, so you don't necessarily have to be under 20 to be in this group, but you do have to have an unhealthy penchant for cuteness, and you probably also have to be female or gay. Well, these cloyingly sweet "monstre"-like cases were designed by two sisters from France, and can not just to swath your iPod in cuteness but your Mac Book as well. The felt-made designs come in an assorment of sunny colours and retail for $40-50. For more information, contact the sisters at: laurenandpaulina@hotmail.fr

Image from thebettertons.comThe Tesla all-electric roadster is indeed noise-less, even when you suddenly feel yourself lead-footed and zooming the freeways at 130 MPH (hey, is that even street legal? Tesla says the car is!). So what's the best way to while the time driving if you can't even hear your engine screeching. No, it's not great to listen to that backseat driver bellowing commands (the Tesla doesn't even have a backseat). The best way is to listen to some music. All right, this isn't the Tesla we're talking about, but auto manufacturers are now warming up to the idea of having built-in digital music player compatibility/integration. Just recently, Ford, General Motors and Mazda have teamed ...

Ok. Ok. I admit it. I watch HGTV sometimes. Tonight it paid off. They had a cool-ass little gadget called the iMPAMP. This thing rocks. Literally. It's a power tube amp the size of a notecard (or a Nintendo DS) but with sound big enough to produce the effect of a decked out studio. Itty Bitty Tube Amp You can hook these guys up to your iPod for old-school sound from a new-school device. But you don't have to go big to get that old-school sound. The zvex iMPAMP is designed small enough to fit in the palm of your hand...a perfect compliment to your iPod nano. As ...

The guys at InvisibleShield were kind enough to send us a media kit for their product along with product samples for the Nintendo DS (original) and iPod mini. The idea behind InvisibleShield is to non-intrusively protect your gadget screen (or entire gadget for that matter) from scratches. You know, those "All I did was throw the iPod in my backback!" kind of scratches. Hey, the product idea is simple, but definitely something we could use. Picture 002.jpg
This Nintendo DS has an installed InvisibleShield on both screens

When the product first arived we were a little skeptical. Packaging claims of being invisible and invincible seemed a little far fetched. We were sure the product was being oversold (I've tried plenty of crappy screen protectors in my day with similar claims). To add insult to injury, the application process was more than three steps and required a 24 hour wait period. I had become very skeptical. Guess what? InvisibleShield worked and it was worth the wait.

Sony reveals PlayStation Move

I have to admit, my mind is officially blown. Sony finally revealed its new PlayStation 3 motion controller at GDC 2010 in San Francisco, and boy is it looking good.
