Skiff Reader: a lightweight, flexible e-book reader

Yes, you read the title right: flexible. It's because when I want to read the online copy of let's say Neil Gaiman's Good Omens, I want to bend my reader like I do a real-life newspaper. Let's see the Kindle 2 do that. But kidding aside, the Skiff Reader looks like a great e-reader. Just a quick look at its specs would reveal an amazing 11.5″ screen with a resolution of 1200×1600 pixels! That resolution is big enough to display a full page of The New York Times on the screen. A rollable Bluetooth keyboard. Why am I excited?

Okay, one of the things I really, really hate about netbooks -especially the early ones- is that their keyboards are probably the worst things on them. Currently, the new ones have almost full-sized keyboards that'll more or less accommodate large touch-typing hands. Heh, with my Eee PC 701, I've been reduced to hunting and pecking for the correct keys. Don't even get me started on mobile phones and PDAs. Even QWERTY mobile phone keypads are a pain to use long-term. Nothing beats a 100% full-sized keyboard. World’s smallest 16GB USB thumb drive

A Cellphone Made For Senior Citizens

Okay, this isn't really top-of-the-line enough or something I filed under the "OMG I WANT" category, but I find this cellphone to be clever enough I think it warrants an entry here in gadzooki. giant_button_cell_phone

This phone has a rather large keypad, making it ideal for the elderly who refuses to let old age get in the way of collecting gadgets. The Asus Eee Keyboard: FCC reveals specs, pictures, and user manual

It looks like FCC’s confidentiality agreement has been lifted off the Eee Keyboard. Now we all know many things about this much-awaited nettop (is this a nettop?) including specs, innards and exterior pictures, user manual and more. The Eee Keyboard will feature a 5-inch touchscreen display (800×480) on the right side (which is exactly the feature I actually want to try out). On the other hand, it rocks the usual N270 Intel Atom processor and 1GB RAM standard in most netbooks. Also, it only has 16 or 32GB flash storage; boo. Nokia 5800 Navigator Edition Announced

For those who took the plunge and became an early adopter for the 5800 XM, here's a bit of bad news. First, the cheaper but not exactly lower-end version of this phone, the 5530, is almost coming out. And now Nokia announced that a Navigator Edition of the 5800 is coming out pretty soon. It still uses the same specs as the older model, but this phone has been made to replace your Personal Navigation Assistant. The phone comes with lifetime voice-guided drive and walk navigation licenses and accessories like car charger and car-mount kit. The phone will come out this quarter for around $400.
