After years and years of waiting for the almost-legendary Apple Tablet to even show up, today, Apple just finally ended years of speculation in their "Newest Creation" event by showing a demo of the Tablet, named iPad. Yes, everyone. The Apple iPad is real, and it's pretty. We all know how crazy the hype has been for the iPad. We've seen blogs dedicated around 50% of their articles just for iPad rumors, and really, I got sick of hearing about the magical computer's capabilities. I got to the point where I was expecting somebody to say that the Apple Tablet can cure cancer. I was just as excited as ...

tablet2 Don't worry, it had me fooled for a moment too. Now these purported pictures of the mythical Apple Tablet or iSlate or iPad or whatever name it is the Apple rumor mill cranked out this time surfaced just a few hours ago. Posted by designer and user interface guy Dustin Curtis (the same guy involved in the American Airlines website design dust-up) on his Posterous account, the images are of the alleged tablet sitting on top of a MacBook pro. While some blogs, like Mashable, are on the verge of being convinced on the basis of these pictures, I'm rather skeptical. At first glance I bolted up in my chair, stared ...

405397924_09ea75757f_o I guess it's Apple rumor time again, folks. Now the rumor mill is saying that the new iPhone is coming out in the middle of the year (most likely April or May) and that it has a lot of features that are making a lot of Apple fanboys - and some iPhone-indifferent geeks like me - drool. Let me quote Appleinsider for this one: Officials at KT, the exclusive provider of the iPhone in South Korea, have allegedly said Apple could debut a new iPhone with an OLED screen, video chat and a removable battery as soon as April. The Korea Times claimed Tuesday that sources at KT said the new phone would ...

apple-tablet So just the other day, we were inundated with news about Apple renting a venue for January regarding a possible Apple Tablet launch. But of course renting a venue and showing off the product are two different things. For all we know, it might just actually be another iPod launch. But now we're getting some rumors that are actually pointing the way to an Apple Tablet launch. It now looks like Apple is preparing apps for the (as of yet nonexistent) gadget. According to Silicone Alley Insider: Apple is preparing to show off a new, larger mobile device with a higher resolution display in January -- probably a version of the ...

I know, people are demanding that they get to use their phones the way they want to, and jailbreaking is a way to free your phone from the shackles of Apple's tyranny. But jailbreaking opens up your phone to security risks and now, we have two separate incidents of iPhones being hacked. jailbrokeniphoneattackmessager First off, we have the Dutch hacker who held iPhones (that left SSH running) for ransom. The message read, "Your iPhone's been hacked because it's really insecure! Please visit doiop.com/iHacked and secure your iPhone right now! Right now, I can access all your files." Visiting the URL directs the user to send €5 to a PayPal account, after which the ...

ColorBuster is a fairly simple strategy puzzle game that will easily keep you occupied as you guide Hect0r, your robot, through 50 levels of box-pushing. Don't let the "simple" tag fool you, though. Remember, games like Tetris and Bejeweled are simple. Gameplay The game takes place on a variety of grids in deep space. Your task is to pack all the crates of the same color into one crate, and then move them to a teleport. At the same time, you push radioactive boxes off the edge of the grid. Sounds simple, but as with all good puzzle games, the levels get harder to solve. There's often only ...

ipod-nano-video

Last night Apple introduced a range of new iPods plus a revamped iTunes 9.

Firstly, the iPod nano has been updated to include a larger 2.2-inch color display, a VGA video camera, FM radio with live pause feature and a built in pedometer, yet it's still packed into the same compact body size.

Before anything else, I'd like to bring up the fact that I am a big Beatles fan, and September 9, 2009, is one of the most highly-anticipated dates of my fanboy life. You see, 09/09/09 is when they will newly-remastered complete Beatles catalog. And for us fanboys who have put up with the tinny-sounding official releases or have scrounched file-sharing networks for vinyl rips of their songs, this is going to be a big relief for us. No more backyard remastering! Yay! Also, to be released on 09/09/09 is The Beatles Rock Band. I don't think I need more words to blow your mind with how awesome that is. Moving on. This is the part where I'm going for ...
