Powermat is a "revolutionary" wireless charging system that might actually become the hottest gadget this year. You see, Powermat actually does away with the tangled mess of wires you have to deal wit everyday for your camera, iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, PSP, and others. Instead you get an oversized charging mat that you can put your devices on. Yes, putting your devices on the Powermat actually charges them. It's no over-the-air charger, but we look like we're getting there. Powermats can handle up to three devices at a time, which I find disappointing, although I don't see myself charging five devices at the same time. I believe that we can see ...

We all know that wireless keyboards are pretty neat, except for the fact that they eat their batteries up a little too fast. Well, guess what. Logitech is promising that their Wireless Desktop MK710 keyboard and mouse combo will last for 3 years. On one set of AA batteries. Seriously, just pop in four AA batteries on this baby, and it'll last three years. I don't know what sorcery they've used to make this keyboard and mouse set, but this is so awesome I'm not even complaining. From the official press release: The comfortable, midsize laser mouse delivers smooth tracking on a variety of surfaces and puts control ...

500x_500x_crunchpad It's dead, Jim. And now, news of the CrunchPad's demise has reached the blogosphere (twice-over, I must say), we're here to examine the post-mortem. It was an ambitious project: an internet tablet meant to sell cheap. Everybody was waiting for it with bated breath, but it never came.

wink-16gb1 If you really, really, really need to keep your data discrete up to the point that a normal-sized USB flash drive won't work for you, a company called Wink has announced that they've created the smallest 16GB thumb drive yet. As you can see from the picture, it's smaller than a dice. And don't you go doubting that this is possible. I've seen a 32GB drive that's a bit bigger than this one, so anything's possible. So if you're a spy seeking to sneak out really sensitive and hush-hush data, or if you just really like to keep things small, this is for you. Just don't lose it. Specifications The delicate electronics are encapsulated ...

Um, guys, you are all aware that there are other portable music players aside from the iPod, right? And the iPod's nearest competitor right now are those PMPs from that little Taiwanese company called Creative. I'm sure you've heard of them. Well, Creative has been making pretty good music players (with features that are even better than the iPod's, if you ask me) and they've started teasing us about the newest one: the Zii EGG. ... yeah, it's a name that made me scratch my head too. But whatever, Dapreview's staff was given a sample unit and it looks great: Seriously, the only reason I ...

ipod-shuffle-3g-diamond-crystal-case-qdos

You want your iPod Shuffle to be protected, sure, but do you really want it encased with diamond-effect crystals?

Yes?

The QDOS Black Ice could be the case for you. It only costs £14.99 (about $20) for a twin pack, slips on easily and protects the third-generation iPod Shuffle, and has that sparkle that certainly makes a statement.

Available in black and white versions from QDOSSound.com.

Want some other way to protect your Apple PMP? Check out iPod cases for every personality, iPod socks and the InvisibleShield gadget screen protector.

hard_img002 Guys, check out the Mint Hard. Okay, I shall avoid all sorts of juvenile jokes with this weirdly-named external HDD. Instead, I shall ask you to check out how awesome it looks. Come on, it looks like a frakkin' ice cream bar. You might think that I'm just the sort of guy who gets easily distracted by shiny objects and all (partially tru- oh look a pink unicorn), let's just look at it. It's an ice cream bar. That can hold 120GB. And its handle isn't really a handle at all; it's actually an 8GB flash drive! How rad is that?

x-power-1

More than with any other 3G smartphone, iPhone users love to bitch and complain about the battery performance of their Jesus Phone. It must be said that the battery life isn't too great but I am not aware of any powerful smart phone which lasts longer than a day if used in as often online, as music player and feed reader as I do with my iPhone.
Fact is, we are Apple users and just love to complain about these 3% imperfections of our expensively paid devices.

The X-Power 1 is another attempt at helping out iPhone users and offering them a better battery life on the road. And it's one more failure.
