It’s too late for me, I’ve purchased my Seagate FreeAgent drive. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy Seagate, but if Lacie had given me a hint that they would release “Rugged XL”, I would have waited. I think it’s just too stylish than FreeAgent. Besides, I could really live without the stand… what was Seagate thinking! :)

Lacie has recently introduced their 1TB model dubbed as “Rugged XL“. Noticeable is that familiar design by Neil Poulton.

It’s not all form though… it’s tough too. It’s a performance hard drive with Hi-Speed USB and eSATA interfaces. Built for the rugged user indeed as it is equipped with shock absorbers… the occasional accidental drop isn’t to be feared.

The LaCie Rugged XL will be available in a 1TB capacity, through the LaCie Online Store, LaCie Reseller+ or LaCie Storage Partner starting, at the suggested retail price of £107. For more information, visit www.lacie.com.

Wait a minute… I could return my FreeAgent (!) and get my money back… hmmm….
